The 30th Inter-Pacific Bar Association AnnualMeeting and Conference was held in Shanghai from April 19 to 21, 2021. Thetheme of this annual conference is "Changes in World Economic and TradeRules and Opportunities and Challenges for the Legal Industry". TANG Yijun(Minister of Justice), LI Fei (Director Member of National People's CongressConstitution and Law Committee), GONG Zheng (Mayor of Shanghai), and WANGJunfeng (President of the ACLA) attended the opening ceremony and deliveredspeeches respectively. Grace Shi, managing partner of High Mark, the member of NationalList of 1,000 Foreign-related Lawyers of Ministry of Justice, deputy directorof International Investment and "Belt and Road" Committee of ZhejiangLawyers Association, were invited to attend the conference.

    The conference was hosted by Inter-PacificBar Association (IPBA), organized by All China Lawyers Association (ACLA) andco-organized by Shanghai Bar Association, with more than 600 guests anddelegates from over 30 countries and regions participating in exchanges andseminars through the "online + offline" approach. The 15 offlineparallel forums focused on foreign-related rule of law in the context of"One Belt, One Road", rule of law protection in China's free tradezone, diversified dispute resolution, etc., while 10 online sessions focused ontopics such as Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP),investment in Europe, investment in Latin America, cross-border M&A,international commercial arbitration, investment risk management, intellectualproperty rights, insolvency, corporate financing and maritime issues.
