On the afternoon of June 20, MootInternational Arbitration Court was held in the multi-functional activity roomof High Mark. The arbitration tribunal was chaired by Menghua Dai (ChiefPartner of High Mark), Grace Shi (Partner of High Mark), Weiwen Zhu (Lawyer ofHigh Mark), with a total of 22 lawyers participating in the mooting arbitration.

    The mooting arbitration was based on a realcase of dispute over a contract for the sale and purchase of internationalworks of art. The disputes in the case centered on jurisdiction, applicablelaw, battle of forms, application of exemption clauses, and all the writtentestimonies and evidence materials were in English. The mock trial focused onthe practical application of the cross-examination techniques taught in theprevious training sessions.

    The mock trial lasted for more than 3hours, at the end of the trial, the three senior lawyers gave a comprehensivereview of the performance of the lawyers in the mooting arbitration, as well asthe trial procedures and courtroom skills.
